Hello readers! I'm back with another review + swatch, this time of Jeffree Star's Velour Liquid Lipstick! The reason why I decided to review this first is because Jeffree has been coming out with so many colours and restocks nowadays. It would only be fitting for me to write my review for his liquid lipsticks in time for the next restock! Despite his frequent restocks, his lippies are always sold out in the end so, I guess this would help you make an informed decision (i hope). Also, sorry for being MIA recently! I had my mid semester tests :(

Today I'm going to be reviewing the two colours separately under the same blog post! So if you are only after one of the two colours, feel free to jump to the bottom! I'll be running through the basics first and then jumping in!
Frequent readers of mine would know that I buy my ABH and Colourpop lippies off Carousell. JSC is no exception! I bought these of sellers with proof of authenticity! These retail for USD18 without shipping and SGD30-33 inclusive of shipping to Singapore! For the price I paid, I felt i got my money's worth! You're getting 0.19 fl. oz/5.6g per lipstick so it's really worth it! To my knowledge, these lipsticks can be bought at the official Jeffree site, and the Beautylish website! However, both are currently out of stock so do look out for upcoming restocks!
The applicators of these liquid lipsticks are angular and fuzzy! I'm all for precision, so I really love the angled tip! However, the fuzzy tips can be annoying to some as they may touch your skin due to their splayed-out nature! However, with that being said, these still aren't a problem for me!
Both lipsticks I received have very liquid-y texture, which depending on your personal preference, you may hate or love! Personally, I can't be bothered cause they dry to a kissproof finish, and that's all that matters! The bottles also have a fairly secure closure which ends with a 'click!' sound! Packaging is very cute as well, hot pink with stars! I really enjoy the wording on the bottle! The gold finish of the words really gives the bottles an added class (as if they needed one tho)
On the Jeffree site, these Velour Liquid Lipsticks are described as follows: 'Our liquid lipstick goes on opaque, dries completely matte and stays on for hours! This product is 100% vegan & cruelty-free!(tips before use: exfoliate with lip scrub then apply to bare lips! Avoid food with oil… and no making out, kisses are ok!)'
So let's see how true these claims are!
ANDROGYNY

Honest to god, this shade is beautiful on my NC25 skin! It's a true plummy mauve and I love it! However, I don't reach out for this colour a lot because the looks I do on a daily basis do not compliment this colour (vice versa) but that's really just my problem lmao.
The longevity on this colour was surprisingly mediocre! It didn't last as long as I had liked! This averaged about 4 hours with eating and drinking!
It faded where the food comes into contact with your lips at a surprisingly fast rate haha.
HOWEVER, this can be layered easily! The layers won't crumble as long as you do not apply excess!

Overall, this colour is beautiful! I should use it more often! I'm only now rediscovering this beauty T.T (and if you were wondering, I got this during the 2016 Feb restock, thus the original packaging!)
PROS:
Opaque, great colour payoff!
Colour is simply stunning!
Layers so easily! Just make sure you avoid overapplying!
CONS:
Not as long lasting as I'd like it to be!
SCORPIO

On the site, it states 'This is what happens when grey and purple make love. Jeffree is a Scorpio, so it's only fitting he made a color in it's honor!'
Holy sweet jesus, this is my new addiction! I was actually contemplating on whether to get this shade because it seems so wild and crazy, despite it still being considered a nude! At last, I gave into temptation and bought it when it first released! My friend hated me for doing so cos I have too much lippies but when I swatched it for her, she took everything back! I've been wearing this colour ever since! Despite it being in my collection for only 1 month, it is hands down the most used colour!
Longevity on this lipstick is super great! Averaged about 6-7 hours of wear without having to touch up with food and drinks, despite this transferring SLIGHTLY!
This gorgeous muted grey-purple also layers extremely well, as long as you don't overapply!
Overall, I definitely enjoy this colour more than Androgyny! This colour is LIFE!
